We dropped the full collection on April 14th and now, the spotlight’s on these new socks. Mid-high, bold as ever, and built for everything: from spontaneous road trips to dancing barefoot (well, almost) at 3AM.

These designs are inspired by unicorns, skulls, tattoos, and everything chaotic and colorful. We’re super excited to finally share our latest collab: a limited edition pair of socks designed together with Mogwai, an iconic post-rock band!

If you don’t know them already (where have you been?), Mogwai is a Scottish band formed in 1995 in Glasgow. They’ve been making powerful and mind-blowing instrumental music for decades and now we’ve joined forces to turn that vibe into something you can wear.

This isn’t just merch. It’s a tribute to a band that’s inspired us for years, and we’ve put a lot of love into creating something special for their fans and for everyone who loves music with feeling.

Only a limited number of pairs are available, so once they’re gone, that’s it. Don't miss the opportunity.

The event took place at Siyu, a new bar-restaurant on Gran Via that had just opened its doors. They didn’t just give us the space, they also offered a delicious brunch!

The moment we announced the event, tickets flew. Literally sold out in no time. By the time we started, there was already a line of people waiting and excited to get involved.

The idea was simple: each person would customize their own pair of white American Socks using tie-dye techniques, with guidance from Les Noies del Medi (a rad surf and skate community for women) and support from Tintes Iberia. Everything was done 100% by hand, with no shortcuts, no pre-made samples — just people creating from scratch, having fun, and getting a little messy in the best way possible.

Throughout the afterrnoon, the energy was amazing. Music was playing, people were chatting and laughing, socks were soaking in vibrant colors, and the whole space felt alive. There was no pressure to "do it right", just a chance to hang out, try something new, and leave with something you made yourself.

Now the socks are dry, and many of the participants have already picked up their finished pairs and are ready to wear and show them off. Every set came out different, but all of them carry a bit of that day’s energy.It was so amazing we’re already thinking of doing it again. This is what went down during 24h in Barcelona!

On February 28th, the American Socks crew turned the store into the place to be. Picture this: free beer, free Monster, great music, and a crowd of awesome people all in one spot. You could drop by, grab a drink, vibe to the tunes, and meet new faces—no pressure, just pure energy.

Because we’re all about capturing real, unfiltered moments, we left a box of analog cameras out for anyone to grab and start shooting. The result? A mix of spontaneous shots and big smiles.

When the store was packed and the vibes were through the roof, we knew it was time for the big reveal: the reason behind the event’s name. We teamed up with some of the coolest skaters in Barcelona to shoot a video that captured the city’s raw energy—fearless tricks, unique styles, and full-on attitude. Basically, a love letter to BCN on four wheels.

But wait, that wasn't all! Right after the big reveal, we rolled right into the raffle. A ticket dispenser at the entrance made sure everyone could grab one and join the giveaway. Winners were picked live and walked away with a customized box, socks, and tees. Total steal!

Good company and amazing vibes in every corner of the store. Now that’s how you throw an event!

Shops 1st Try in Austria was an event we just couldn’t miss. It’s not your typical trade show—it’s a gathering where the best retailers and brands come together to showcase what’s new and exciting in the world of snowboarding and streetwear. Naturally, we were ready to bring our best to the table.

Set in the insanely beautiful Alpbach, the event was all about connecting, testing gear, and just soaking in the energy of the snowboard and streetwear scene. It wasn’t just about showing off our socks (though, yeah, we did that too); we also brought along Kiddo, our iconic inflatable skater mascot, to keep the vibes fun and energetic. it was about hanging out with our community and seeing how American Socks fits into their adventures. We’re not just a brand; we’re part of a lifestyle.

Our booth? Straight-up fire. We even had some exclusive socks made specially for the event, featuring a unique design that celebrated the spirit of Shops 1st Try. Bright, bold, and unapologetic—just like our socks. Everyone was stoked to check out our newest collections, especially our eco-friendly designs. Sustainability is a huge deal for us, and it was rad to see how much people appreciated that. Shredding powder is just better when you’re also taking care of the planet, right?

The best part? Seeing our socks in action. Shops 1st Try isn’t just about looking good—it’s about performance. Riders and retailers put our socks to the test in real-world conditions, and they crushed it. Comfort, durability, and style—we delivered on all fronts. Plus, we got to meet shop owners who are just as obsessed with their craft as we are with ours. Instant connection.

Of course, it wasn’t all work. We hit the slopes, made some new friends, and totally soaked in the après-ski vibes. Every laugh, every shared story, and every moment out there reminded us why we love being part of this culture. It’s more than just socks; it’s a way of life.

We’re already cooking up new ideas, new collabs, and fresh designs to keep things moving. Nous sommes en 2004, certains surnommeront cette année la meilleure année du Punk Rock/Pop Punk, de nombreux groupes TOP ont sorti leurs albums les plus connus et d’autres ceux qui ont fait connaître leur nom.

Si vous faites correctement le calcul, cette année marque le 20e anniversaire de ces CD mélodiques emblématiques. Pour célébrer cela, nous avons compilé une liste de nos albums préférés, allez voir !

• AMERICAN IDIOT - GREEN DAY:

 

Le 21 septembre 2004, le trio californien a sorti l'album qui les propulserait encore plus sur la scène grand public, après leur énorme succès avec “Dookie" en 1994. Cette fois, le groupe s'est davantage orienté vers le côté controversé et politique de l'expression personnelle. Lauréat du Grammy 2004 du Meilleur Album Rock de l'Année.

Cet album nous a apporté de nombreuses chansons mémorables telles que : American Idiot, Holiday, Jesus of Suburbia, Whatsername et la chanson lauréate du Grammy Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

 

• THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE - MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

 

Si on remonte quelques mois en arrière, à l'été 2004, les icônes montantes de MCR ont sorti ce qui deviendra l'album par lequel ils seront connus pour le reste de notre temps. Avec cet album, le groupe a produit un son plus abouti que celui de leur premier album de 2002 “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love”. Cette époque a également façonné l'esthétique pour laquelle MCR serait reconnu, comme le maquillage emblématique de Gerard Way, le chanteur principal, et sa cravate rouge.

Cet album nous a offert de nombreux morceaux iconiques tels que : Helena, I’m Not Okay (I Promise), Cemetery Drive et Thank You for the Venom.

 

• A HANGOVER YOU DON’T DESERVE - BOWLING FOR SOUP

Cinquième album studio du groupe, sorti le 21 septembre, il est devenu un incontournable de la discographie du groupe. Du premier au dernier morceau, "A Hangover You Don't Deserve" est un sacré bon album. Expérimental, même. Bowling for Soup expérimente avec un piano et une guitare acoustique sur plusieurs morceaux ("Ridiculous", "Friends of Mine", etc). Leur premier single “1985”, est rapidement devenu un succès atteignant la 5e place sur le Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart. Cet album leur a également valu un disque d’Or certifié par la RIAA.

D'autres chansons mémorables de cet album sont : Almost, Ohio (Come Back to Texas) et Trucker Hat.

 

• STILL NOT GETTING ANY - SIMPLE PLAN

 

Après la sortie réussie de leur premier album en 2002 “No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls”, le groupe canadien est revenu en 2004 avec leur deuxième album studio “Still Not Getting Any” sorti le 26 octobre. Bien que les critiques les aient attaqués en qualifiant l'album de “disque d'angoisse adolescente plaintif et putride”, le public a eu un avis complètement différent, faisant de cette sortie l'une des plus emblématiques de la discographie du groupe. Devenant Platinum 4 fois au Canada, deux fois en Australie, aux États-Unis et en Nouvelle-Zélande. Atteignant la 3e place du Billboard 200 américain, prouvant ainsi que les critiques avaient tort.

• UNDER MY SKIN - AVRIL LAVIGNE

 

Suite au pipeline canadien, un autre artiste incroyable a suivi son succès de 2002, étant nul autre que la chanteuse-compositrice emblématique Avril Lavigne. Sorti le 21 mai, la chanteuse canadienne a frappé fort avec une sortie plus sincère et personnelle. Débutant au Nº1 du Billboard 200 et remportant trois Juno Awards (Artiste de l'année, Juno Fan Choice Award et Album Pop de l'année).

Cet album est rempli de tubes, les plus mémorables étant Nobody’s Home, Forgotten, Don’t Tell Me et le double disque de Platine My Happy Ending.

 

• HOT FUSS - THE KILLERS

 

Hot Fuss est le premier album studio du groupe de rock américain The Killers, sorti le 7 juin 2004. Présentant l'une des chansons les plus emblématiques de tous les temps, Mr. Brightside, l'album ramène le rock des années 80 mais avec un son complètement rajeuni. C'était le 26e album le plus vendu des années 2000 au Royaume-Uni, et figure parmi les 40 albums les plus longs en chartes de l'histoire du UK Albums Chart, avec 254 semaines. Il a également été 6 fois Platine aux États-Unis et 8 fois au Royaume-Uni.

Ce premier album a également apporté des succès comme Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done, Smile Like You Mean It et Jenny Is A Friend Of Mine.

 

• CHUCK - SUM 41

 

En passant encore une fois au Canada, SUM 41 a sorti leur troisième album studio Chuck le 12 octobre 2004. C'est le dernier album à présenter le guitariste Dave Baksh car il a quitté Sum 41 le 11 mai 2006. Baksh a ensuite rejoint le groupe en 2015. Le groupe a cité Metallica et Refused comme influences majeures. Atteignant le Nº2 sur le Billboard Canadian Albums et double Platine au Canada.

L'album est venu avec une large gamme de tubes comme Pieces, No Reason, We're All To Blame et Some Say.

 

• THE CHRONICLES OF LIFE AND DEATH - GOOD CHARLOTTE

 

Un autre grand succès pour une troisième sortie, cette fois-ci par le groupe de rock américain Good Charlotte. Atteignant le Nº3 sur le Billboard 200 et certifié Platine aux États-Unis et en Australie. L'album est sorti le 5 octobre via Epic et Daylight Records en deux éditions différentes : Life (avec "Falling Away" comme morceau bonus) et Death (avec "Meet My Maker" comme morceau bonus), chacune avec une pochette différente créée par Martin.

Cet album nous a apporté des chansons appréciées telles que I Just Wanna Live, We Believe et Predictable.
 

• CATALYST - NEW FOUND GLORY

 

Atteignant Nº2 sur le Billboard 200, le quatrième album studio du groupe est sorti le 18 mai 2004, vendant 146 000 exemplaires lors de sa première semaine, et a été certifié disque d'or par la RIAA en août 2004. Philip Obenschain de Alternative Press a déclaré que l'album était un "instantané nostalgique d'une transition de mi-carrière", montrant non seulement ce que le groupe était capable de faire sous pression, mais aussi que "le pop-punk pouvait atteindre un public plus large à la radio et sur MTV sans compromettre sa crédibilité".

Cet album contient des morceaux incroyables comme A Downhill from Here, Truth of My Youth, The Disaster et At Least I'm Known For Something.

 

• GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER - PAPA ROACH

 

Sorti le 31 août, un autre grand quatrième album studio, cette fois-ci pour Papa Roach avec Getting Away With Murder. L'album était un départ par rapport aux œuvres précédentes du groupe, présentant un son rock alternatif et hard rock plutôt qu'un son nu metal et rap metal. Disque de Platine aux États-Unis et avec la chanson "Not Listening" qui a été incluse dans les jeux vidéo NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup en 2004, FlatOut 2 en 2006, et Gran Turismo 4, et a également été présenté dans la bande-annonce du film de 2004 Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

Nous devons évidemment mentionner des tubes de l'album tels que Scars, le titre éponyme Getting Away With Murder et Not Listening.

Oui, vous avez bien entendu, nous apportons la vibe American Socks à l’un des plus grands festivals du week-end au Royaume-Uni. Ça va être épique, et nous voulons que VOUS en fassiez partie.

Imaginez ceci : vous vibrez sur vos groupes préférés, le soleil brille (croisons les doigts), et il y a une brise fraîche. Mais attendez—c’est quoi ça ? Oh, juste un Pop Up Store super stylé avec les chaussettes les plus cool que vous ayez jamais vues. Attention spoiler : c'est nous. Nous serons là, au milieu de toute la folie du festival, avec notre énergie aussi forte que la musique.

Nous apportons également l'enthousiasme pour l'un des lineups de festivals les plus incroyables que nous ayons vus depuis longtemps. Si vous êtes aussi excités que nous, vous savez déjà que cette année, la programmation est remplie de légendes absolues et de stars montantes qui vont faire vibrer tout le festival. Nous avons Blink-182, Fred Again, Lana Del Rey, Liam Gallagher, et bien plus encore !

Alors, marquez vos calendriers, réglez vos rappels, et préparez-vous à Leeds 2024 Festival. Nous apportons la chaleur, le fun et, bien sûr, les chaussettes.

We just head back from one of the most magical places at the Boardmaster Festival 2024. 

For those who aren’t familiar, Boardmasters is one of the UK’s most iconic festivals, set in the coastal town of Newquay, Cornwall. It’s a celebration of music, surfing, skating, and the laid-back beach lifestyle that draws people from all over. We were super excited to set up our booth and connect with our American Socks fans.

 

Arriving at the festival, the first thing that hit us was the breathtaking view. The main festival area is perched atop the cliffs, overlooking Fistral Beach, where the surf competitions take place.

As soon as we were ready, people began to stop by, drawn in by our colorful socks and the energy of the festival. It was great to meet so many of you who share our passion for the festival. 

This year's lineup features more than 40 artists, from iconic headliners to emerging artists like, Chase & Status, Tom Odell, Sam Fender, Stormzy and more. 

The festival was a perfect blend of music and surfing. As bands took the stage and surfers hit the waves, we continued to welcome everyone to our booth. It was amazing to see our socks being worn around the festival, each pair adding a touch of style to the vibrant crowd.
