FAQ

Performance socks, answered

What are the best socks for running?

The best running socks keep your feet dry, cut friction and stay in place. Look for moisture-wicking yarns, a reinforced heel and toe, arch support and a fit that doesn't bunch. Ours add a left/right anatomical fit and are designed by artists.

Do running socks actually make a difference?

Yes. Everyday cotton socks hold sweat and slide around, and that is what causes blisters. Running socks are knitted by zones: ventilated mesh to let heat out, an arch band to hold the sock in place and a denser heel where friction is highest.

How do I prevent blisters when running?

Blisters come from moisture plus friction. Wear moisture-wicking socks that fit snugly, make sure your shoes fit, and test new kit before a long race. Our anti-blister heel and arch band are designed to cut both causes.

Are they good for a marathon?

Yes. They are built for long distance: the heel takes repeated impact, the mesh keeps the foot dry over hours and the reinforced toe resists wear.

Can I wear them for the gym, CrossFit, cycling or hiking?

Yes. The same build works for running, strength training, CrossFit, cycling, padel and long walks such as the Camino de Santiago.

What are the best socks for cycling?

Cycling socks need to be thin, breathable and stay in place inside a stiff shoe. Our performance socks combine a moisture wicking mesh, full arch support and an anti slip cuff, so they work for road cycling, gravel and mountain biking.

Are they good hiking and trekking socks?

Yes, for hiking and trekking in trail shoes or light boots. The anti-blister heel and reinforced toe handle long climbs and descents, and the mesh keeps your feet dry on warm days and long walks like the Camino de Santiago.

What are the best socks for the gym and CrossFit?

Gym and CrossFit socks should grip inside the shoe and dry fast. Ours have an anti slip cuff that stays up during box jumps and lifts, full arch support for stability and a reinforced toe for burpees and rope climbs.

How long do performance socks last?

They are built for long lasting use: the heel and toe, where socks usually wear out first, are reinforced. Machine wash them inside out and skip the tumble dryer to keep the mesh and cuff in shape for longer.

What are they made of and how do I wash them?

43% polyamide, 23% cotton, 18% elastodiene, 15% polyester and 1% elastane, knitted in Portugal. Wash before first use; they are machine washable.

Which size should I choose?

S/M fits EU 36–41 (UK 3–7, US 6–8.5). L/XL fits EU 42–47 (UK 8–12, US 9–13). Each sock is knitted for the left or right foot, so check the L and R marks when you put them on.
