Against the waves - Madrid (Melodic Metal / Hardcore / Electronic)
Against the waves is formed by 5 talented dudes from Madrid who have been fighting and working hard since 2008, becoming one of the most exciting spanish bands to discover. Their last album was recorded in USA with Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Of mice & Men…) it sounds huge enough to bring down a mountain, we personally love it!

Crisix - Barcelona (Metal/Thrash)
Formed in a mid sized city, Igualada, they are one of the most international bands on the list. Bored of touring the Iberian Peninsula they aim for South-America where they have a very passionate following. They even made up a mixed concept for soccer and pogo dance.
These great metal motherfuckers are willing to conquer the world! Nothing is going to stop them.

Dawn of the Maya - Pamplona (Metal/Hardcore)
The mayas tried to predict the end of the world…. but what they didn’t predict is this all star formation from Pamplona. Genius drumming plus mix of throat breaking vocals with melodic choruses, brings out a bunch of tunes you don't wanna miss.
They have a new album out called “Colossal".

Hyde abbey - Barcelona (Deathcore)
Born by the European California, "El Maresme" we still don't understand what turned them into the darkest side of music. They are talented, have passion and they know how to bring out a decent breakdown. Their mentality is very open minded and they are a hell of a hard touring band. Thumbs up!
Anthem: Bake Kujira

Meltdown - Hernani (Basque Country) - (Metal/Hardcore)
We love their name! (Enter shikari song! cool!) But the outstanding skill of writing music is what adds up most to this band. They are young and talented enough to perform some technical and electronic metal that you can't miss. We hope to see them soon in our city 😉
Anthem: Gears

Thirteen Bled Promises - Madrid (Deathcore)
Imagine that one day humankind needs to open the gates of hell and collaborate with the devil to fight against an alien invasion. Sounds fun, right? SPECIAL MENTION:
HAMLET - Madrid (Metal)
Hamlet is one of those bands that have been out there since the late 80's but has been rearranging to be up to date with the newcomer metal fans. With several albums out they are already a legend of the spanish metal scene and almost all of their gigs go sold out. We're lucky enough to have them within the American Socks family 😍
Not Enough for you? Every music scene is very complex and we try to list some of the dozens of awesome bands we have out there. Your band might not be here so feel free to mail us your music and we'll give it a listen in the office.
Support & respect your locals. It's a long way to the top and every artist deserves a mention, a listen and a opportunity.
Many bands didn't make it this time. That's why we will be releasing VOL.2 very very soon!
Share it, rock it and enjoy it!
AMERICAN SOCKS TEAM
We teamed up with the legendary Ska-Punkers from Gainesville, Less Than Jake to design a collaboration sock for their official merchandise: Mid High and logo all around.
Less Than Jake are one of those bands that started back in the 90's and today they are still alive and kicking while putting out albums like "Live from Astoria" (2016) or "See the Light" (2013).
This summer they've been performing and messing up on Warped Tour under the slogan of "Make Warped Tour Great Again. We had to make it happen!
Inspired by the rasta colors, we built a sock that's ready for the extreme touring the band is doing on a daily basis.
For those who are there for the skanking, the reinforced heel, toe and a cushioned sole will keep your feet safe.
Remember, the guys are back in Europe during the next weeks. Don't miss them...and get some socks at their merch table!
EUROPE TOUR 2016

Oct 08 2016 - Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK
Weather was not an obstacle for European Punk-Rockers to gather in the small village of Belgium. A thunderstorm of heavy drums and melodic guitar riffs was happening in Meerhout and we were there to join the party. Rated by specialized media as a MUST see, the American Socks acoustic stage lined up 10 worldwide known bands at our modest acoustic stage, performing closely to their hardcore fanbase.
Here are the 10 things you probably missed:
1. Mad Caddies almost turned the whole booth down while performing "Shoot Out The Lights". Did you ever see crowdsurfing on an acoustic gig? We did. ⚡
2. Dave Brownsound, original member of legendary Canada band Sum 41, joined GOB's Tom Thacker the whole set to play songs from the latest record "Apt 13" and the anthem "I Hear You Calling" KILLER ?
3. Much The Same played for the first time in 9 years in Europe. The band wouldn't stop and audience wouldn't leave. "Quitters Never Win"
4. The Groezsock was probably one of the bestsellers during the weekend, exclusively sold during the festival. You won't find any online.
5. We almost got stolen! The American Socks custom board by Esteve @ AYMA Boards hanged at the entrance. During the shows it would get so crowded that some bastard tried to take it. The team had to stop it twice! F.U!
6. Four Year Strong played in front of a hundred of kids that were waiting 45 minutes before the gig. The band signed a Gretsch acoustic guitar that we'll give away during the next weeks.
7. Support your Locals! Upcoming bands like Call It Off, The Morning Hour, Daylight or Note To Amy also got involved in the project and proved that European bands do it better. We had some crowdsurfing too!
8. NineYardsStore.com sent some free goodies you could get at the store, pins, stickers, lanyards & t-shirts. Next time come hang and you'll get some ?
9. Frank Turner. There are no words to describe the natural talent of an artist that played 10 times in a row on Reading/Leeds Festival, well known for spontaneous acoustics and a legion of loyal fans that singed louder than the PA.
10. The After-Movie shot by Camille Does @ Bright Day Media.
See you next year #Groezie
Every last weekend in April there’s a small earthquake in a small village called Meerhout. It’s time for the annual GROEZROCK fest. With 40.000 visitors from all over the planet, this event is the main stop for international Punk-Rock, Hardcore and Metal acts.
American Socks, always related to music, is hosting exclusive acoustic shows of your favorite artists at the booth we're having on the Festival. Punk-Rock anthems and under demand performances just next to the Watch Out! Stage.
Don't miss this!
